What we paint
What commercial painting work does JT Paint take on?
Commercial painting is a trade service for businesses, building owners, general contractors and property managers, covering the repainting and finishing of commercial interiors and exteriors. The work usually runs on a schedule that someone else controls, so reliability counts as much as the finish.
JT Paint was founded in 2017 and works on both residential and commercial projects. On commercial jobs, the standard stays the same: show up when expected, communicate clearly, protect the property and finish with attention to the details.
Specialty coating systems for wood and metal are part of the offer too. Railings, doors, frames and other surfaces that take heavy use need a coating chosen for the surface, and that choice goes into the estimate conversation.

Step by step
How does a commercial painting job run with JT Paint?
A bid invitation is the start. The rest follows the schedule of the project, not the other way around.
Send the bid invitation
Scope, location, schedule and bid due date. The more clearly the surfaces and finishes are described, the more precise the estimate.
Review the scope
We go through the plans, specs or description and ask about anything unclear before the numbers go out.
Coordinate the painting phase
Painting fits between other trades, so timing and access get agreed up front and kept. Surfaces and adjacent areas are protected.
Finish and walk through
Prepared surfaces, finish applied and the details checked against the scope.
Bid invitations
What should you send with a bid invitation?
A complete package gets you an estimate that comes back in time and matches the work.
- Scope of work: plans, specs or a description of surfaces and finishes
- Location of the project
- Schedule for the painting phase
- Bid due date
Project types
Which kind of project is it: repaint or renovation?
The two are scoped differently. A repaint refreshes existing finishes in a space that is usually still in use. A renovation paints new or altered surfaces as part of a larger build, with the schedule driven by other trades.
Tell us which one you have, and mention it if the job is a mix. It changes how the work is sequenced.
| Factor | Repaint | Renovation |
|---|---|---|
| Surfaces | Existing, often worn or marked | New or altered, often needing patching and priming |
| Space | Often occupied or in use | Often empty or under construction |
| Schedule | Set by the owner or tenant | Set by the general contractor |
| Main concern | Disruption and access | Sequencing with other trades |
Working together
Why would a contractor or property manager hire JT Paint?
A painting subcontractor is judged by how little you have to chase. Our approach is built around that: we show up when expected, answer clearly, protect the property you are responsible for and finish the details people check at the walk-through.
We are based in New Hampshire. Southern and Central New Hampshire is our core service area, and we have project experience in Massachusetts, Vermont and Maine. For a commercial project outside the core area, send the bid invitation anyway. It depends on the project. See the service area for details.
Clear communication is one of our core values, and it applies on commercial jobs the same way it does in a home: you know what is done and what comes next.
Smaller scopes are welcome too. You can also look at interior painting and exterior painting to see how we handle each surface.
